Deacon Andrew Harrah
Deacon Andrew Harrah was born in Newport Beach, CA and raised in the neighboring city of Irvine. He first attended Biola University and was a member of Torrey Honors College, a Great Books program dedicated to discussing and searching out answers to big questions. He graduated, however, from Concordia University Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Field Artillery Fire Control Man and obtained a Master of Arts degree in history (with a concentration in the medieval era) from California State University, Fullerton. After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he moved to Phoenix, AZ to teach history with Great Hearts Academies, a network of classical liberal arts charter schools.
He met his wife, Corrie, while teaching. She has given him two sons, Josiah and Joshua. He has most recently completed a Master of Arts degree in classical theology from Talbot School of Theology.
