The Book of Hebrews Bible Study Video Series

Join Deacon Andrew Harrah as he leads the survey of the Book of Hebrews, chapter by chapter. This book, written to the Jewish believers in Jesus who were wavering in their faith and persecuted by their Jewish brethren. Week by week, we will learn about God’s supreme revelation “who has in these last days spoken to us by His Son” (1:2) , God’s infallible purpose in Christ, an explanation of how the Son is exalted above the angels but while on earth was made lower than the angels, an exhortation not to neglect salvation, Jesus Christ being faithful to the Father, the Holy Spirit’s power as promised by Jesus, the compassionate High Priest, His qualifications and a priest forever, the need for a new priesthood, a warning on spiritual immaturity and the peril of not progressing and reverting to dead works, the New Covenant, the earthly and heavenly sanctuary, why Christ our Mediator’s death was necessary and the greatness of Christ’s sacrifice and the insufficiency of the animal sacrifices required by the Law, Christ’s death fulfilling God’s will and the perfect sacrifice, holding fast to our confession, the just living by faith and by this faith we understand, faith at the dawn of history, the faith of Abraham and the faith of Moses and the patriarchs, overcoming by faith, the race of faith, the heavenly hope, the discipline of God, renewing our spiritual vitality, hearing the heavenly voice, final statements on moral directions and religious directions, prayers for the books’ authors, and final benediction, salutation and exhortation that ends the Book of Hebrews. There are five specific warnings throughout the Book of Hebrews that will be identified and discussed.
