Corrie and I ended up at Christ Church due to the recommendation of Bp. Stephen Scarlett of the Anglican Catholic Church, a sister church of the Anglican Province of Christ the King. Prior to our marriage in July 2020, we were under his pastoral leadership and were formally connected to his diocese. I have been prayerfully discerning a priestly vocation for several years now, and I believe that I need to step forward in faith and follow that call. This entails a move back to Southern California, where Corrie and I, along with our newborn son Josiah, will be living with my parents while I attend Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada and enter the postulancy for Holy Orders. God willing, I will be ordained to the priesthood following my seminary training. Our hope is to return to Christ Church following my ordination to serve as a curate under Canon Dart’s direction.

Corrie and I want to express our gratitude to the Christ Church community for the gracious reception we received during our time at the parish. It has been a difficult year, but Christ Church has been a place of solace for us. We would ask that you please remember us in your prayers.
