Join us! Women’s Day Retreat on St. Brigid of Kildare, Ireland.

Womens Day Retreat on St. Brigid. On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Chrissy Dart will facilitate a women’s retreat on the life and legacy of St. Brigid of Kildare, Ireland. She is the female patron saint of Ireland. Born in 451 Anno Domini to a pagan Gaelic Chieftain and a Christian slave mother. She was baptized by St. Patrick with whom she would become friends.

Legends of her holiness are many with helping the poor and miracles attributed to her. She vowed to remain celibate and to do God’s work. She, along with seven other devout women, formed the first ever female Monastic community in Ireland in the year 468. Being resourceful and wanting everyone to have a cross,  she created one from reeds. We will learn all about her through the expert storytelling of Chrissy and recreate her reed cross.
